Stephanie Ann Puen

Working at the intersection of Catholic social thought, economics and business ethics, sustainability, and contextual theology.

Scholarly Background

I am an associate professor in the Department of Theology and the Department of Leadership and Strategy at Ateneo de Manila University in the Philippines, teaching at both the undergraduate and graduate level. I received my PhD, with a focus in Theological and Social Ethics, at Fordham University, where I also taught undergraduate classes.

A Filipino of Chinese descent, I worked in corporate planning in the manufacturing industry prior to my work in academia and I manage business together with my family. My teaching and research interests are in economics and business ethics, Catholic social thought, gender and sexual ethics, and religious education and theology in relation to popular culture, which I have also written on for both scholarly and popular publications.
